Beaches Turks and Caicos, one of Sandals Resorts International’s resort brands has reopened this week.

In attendance at the festive event on December 21, was premier of the TCI, Sharlene Cartwright-Robinson and SRI’s group Chief, Adam Stewart.
Ms Cartwright-Robinson and the Stewart family have had a controversial relationship, stemming from the $164m in taxes owed to the TCI government by SRI, which had whittled down to just $26m claims opposition forces in TCI.
Opposition party officials in the Progressive National Party (PNP) have also charged that Ms Cartwright-Robinson’s relationship with Adam Stewart’s father, Gordon “Butch” Stewart went beyond just a professional relationship and was “very close” and that the Cartwright-Robinson government was “in bed” with Stewart.
In any event, the people of TCI can rejoice now that a major entity in their tourism sector is open. People can get back to work and money can begin to flow in TCI.
