Trèfle designs celebrates 15th Anniversary with a Cultural Exhibition

May 23, 2023

BVI Fashion Designer, Kristin Frazer is set to begin her 15th anniversary celebrations with several events spread throughout the year – the first being at The Old Government House Museum on Monday 15 May, 2023.

THE EXHIBITION was the event theme and introduced a different type of experience outside of a regular fashion show.

“The Exhibition was a concept that came to mind in 2022 along with the hashtag #roadtothe15th. I knew that the brand had to be highlighted in various ways and one of the most important things that I could do was to showcase the journey through my eyes by way of an exhibition of culture, heritage, recycling, and design. The visuals each had to tell a story and all pieces had to be hand-made to perfection. The overall aim was to capture the essence of our BVI Culture while infusing my 14-year journey as a designer and show the evolution of Trèfle through a new lens…and I think that I did just that”, says Kristin.

The Exhibition highlighted clothing and accessories with surprises that also gave guests an insight into a few surprises for the evening. Fabric usage included recycled canvas materials, netting, scraps of Trèfle printed fabric used over the years, hangtags used by customers that purchased Trèfle over the years, ornaments, and even woven labels. These items all helped to create costume wearable items and were displayed throughout the gardens of the Old Government House Museum.

A new look was also a highlight of the evening as Trèfle officially launched its third and final re-brand with a new word and symbol logo. A clean and polished logo with the waves of the islands and a special tribute to the legacy that was created by Kristin’s late grandmother Ruth Clover Penn-Anthony comes a new version of the Clover leaf. “It’s special, it’s heritage, it’s historical and it’s the beginning of a new direction. This is truly the road to the 15th” – says Kristin.

All the exhibition pieces will be donated to the Lower Estate Sugar Works Museum. The aim will be to start conversations about the importance of continuing tradition, culture, and creativity.

The event would not be possible without our amazing sponsors: Supa Valu Ltd, Botella, DJ Bertrum, Chef Brentfield Lettsome, Kishumoto Melodies by Akim Johnson and all of our Silent Auction Partners.
