July 28, 2026 YEAR 7: DAY 140
To God, the only God, who saves us through Jesus Christ our Lord, be the glory, majesty, authority and power, which he had before time began, now and forever. Jude 25
CPWI 381 Praise The Lord! Ye Heav’ns…
1 Praise the Lord! ye heav’ns, adore him;
Praise him angels, in the height;
Sun and moon, rejoice before him;
Praise him, all ye stars of light.
Praise the Lord! for he has spoken;
Worlds his mighty voice obeyed;
Laws which never shall be broken
For their guidance he has made.
2 Praise the Lord! for he is glorious;
Never shall his promise fail;
God has made his saints victorious;
Sin and death shall not prevail.
Praise the God of our salvation!
Hosts on high his pow’r proclaim;
Heav’n, and earth, and all creation,
Laud and magnify his name.
Hear us O Lord.
For your mercy is great.
We will exalt you, O God our Saviour.
And praise your name for ever and ever.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit
As it was in the beginning is now; and shall be forever. Amen.
O God, the King eternal, whose light divides the day from the night and turns the shadow of death into the morning: Drive far from us all wrong desires, incline our hearts to keep your law, and guide our feet into the way of peace; that, having done your will with cheerfulness during the day, we may, when night comes, rejoice to give you thanks; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Psalm 133
1 How very good and pleasant it is
when kindred live together in unity!
2 It is like the precious oil on the head, running down upon
the beard, on the beard of Aaron,
running down over the collar of his robes.
3 It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion.
For there the Lord ordained his blessing, life forevermore. GLORIA
A READING: EXODUS 30:22-30, 34 – 38
22 The Lord spoke to Moses, 23 “Take the finest spices: of liquid myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet-smelling cinnamon half as much, that is, two hundred fifty, and two hundred fifty of aromatic cane, 24 and five hundred of cassia—measured by the sanctuary shekel—and a hin of olive oil, 25 and you shall make of these a sacred anointing oil blended as by the perfumer; it shall be a holy anointing oil. 26 With it you shall anoint the tent of meeting and the ark of the covenant 27 and the table and all its utensils and the lampstand and its utensils and the altar of incense 28 and the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils and the basin with its stand; 29 you shall consecrate them, so that they may be most holy; whatever touches them will become holy. 30 You shall anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate them to serve me as priests.
34 The Lord said to Moses, “Take sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum, sweet spices with pure frankincense (an equal part of each), 35 and make an incense blended as by the perfumer, seasoned with salt, pure and holy, 36 and you shall beat some of it into powder and put part of it before the covenant in the tent of meeting, where I shall meet with you; it shall be most holy for you. 37 When you make incense according to this composition, you shall not make it for yourselves; it shall be regarded by you as holy to the Lord. 38 Whoever makes any like it to use as perfume shall be cut off from the people.”
The Word of the Lord. Thanks be to GOD.
O God, the protector of all who trust in you, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy…
The call to holiness and the conditions for holiness are from the LORD and not the human heart. It is GOD who chooses the things and the actions and the speech which He deems holy, and to which he will respond with his grace and favour for our benefit…! It is for us to respond with obedience to his instructions and then enjoy his favour.
…put part of it (the incense) before the covenant in the tent of meeting, where I shall meet with you; it shall be most holy for you…]
THE PRAYERS:
The Lord be with you
And also with you.
And now, as our Saviour has taught us, let us pray
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
V. Lord reveal your love among us
R. That we may know the joy of your salvation
V. Grant peace within and among all nations;
R. And teach our leaders wisdom
V. Endow your church with faithfulness
R. And her Servants with knowledge and true godliness
V. Defend, O Lord, the rights of the poor and the oppressed
R. That your justice may be known among all people.
V. Lord, renew your Spirit within us
R. That in us and through us your will be done
COLLECT Proper 12
O God, the protector of all who trust in you, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy: Increase and multiply upon us your mercy; that, with you as our ruler and guide, we may so pass through things temporal, that we lose not the things eternal; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Direct us, O Lord, in all our doings with your most gracious favor, and further us with your continual help; that in all our works begun, continued, and ended in you, we may glorify your holy Name, and finally, by your mercy, obtain everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Anointing, fall on me, Anointing, set me free,
Let the power Of the Holy Ghost, fall on me;
Anointing, set me free.
The Dismissal:
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellow-ship of the Holy Spirit, be with us all now and for evermore. Amen. 2 Corinthians 13:14
The Lord be with you
And also with you.
Let us bless the Lord.
Thanks be to God.
