The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) said the foreign direct investment into the region is coming from Europe, primarily.
To the point that FDI is up by 14 percent from last year is impressive. Considering that the world is still gripped with the war in Iran, to have any increase in FDI is welcomed.
This means that the war in Iran is not taking a significant toll on the rest of the world the way it could have, the Strait of Hormuz being clogged periodically notwithstanding.
Getting the region back on the right track post COVID is the primary objective. This is happening.
