To God, the only God who saves us through Jesus Christ our Lord, be the glory, majesty, authority and power, which he had before time began, now and forever. Jude 25
CPWI 165
1. Christ is alive! Let Christians sing.
The cross stands empty to the sky.
Let streets and homes with praises ring.
Love, drowned in death, shall never die.
2 Christ is alive! No longer bound
to distant years in Palestine,
but saving, healing, here and now,
and touching ev’ry place and time.
3 In ev’ry insult, rift, and war,
where color, scorn, or wealth divide,
Christ suffers still, yet loves the more,
and lives, where even hope has died.
4 Christ is alive, and comes to bring
good news to this and ev’ry age,
till earth and sky and ocean ring
with joy, with justice, love, and praise.
Hear us O Lord.
For your mercy is great.
We will exalt you, O God our Saviour.
And praise your name for ever and ever.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit
As it was in the beginning is now; and shall be forever. Amen.
Eternal God and Father, by whose power we are created and by whose love we are redeemed: Guide and strengthen us by your Spirit, that we may give ourselves to your service, and live this day in love for You and one another; through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN.
PSALM 33:18-22
18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon those who fear him, *
on those who wait upon his love,
19 To pluck their lives from death, *
and to feed them in time of famine.
20 Our soul waits for the Lord; *
he is our help and our shield.
21 Indeed, our heart rejoices in him, *
for in his holy Name we put our trust.
22 Let your loving-kindness, O Lord, be upon us, *
as we have put our trust in you.

A READING: Acts 2:36-41. Peter said to the multitude, “Let the entire house of Israel know with certainty that God has made him both Lord and Messiah, this Jesus whom you crucified.” Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and to the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?” Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you, for your children, and for all who are far away, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to him.” And he testified with many other arguments and exhorted them, saying, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” So those who welcomed his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand persons were added.
The Word of the Lord. Thanks be to GOD.
[… Grant that we, who have been raised with him, may abide in his presence and rejoice in the hope of eternal glory…
Peter, the disciple who had confessed Jesus as Messiah and Lord, is given the privilege of preaching the first Christian Church sermon and in the power of the Holy Spirit brings the saving work of Christ to a convincing finale. The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead will always be ‘Good News’ and will be the core of the gospel message until the trumpet sounds and time will be no more…
…Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ,
so that your sins may be forgiven. Save yourselves from this corrupt generation…]

COLLECT Tuesday In Easter Week.
O God, who by the glorious resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light: Grant that we, who have been raised with him, may abide in his presence and rejoice in the hope of eternal glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be dominion and praise for ever and ever. Amen.
As our Saviour has taught us, let us pray
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
Into your hands, Lord, we commend ourselves this day. Let your presence be with us to its close. Strengthen us to remember that in whatever good work we do we are serving you. Give us a diligent and watchful spirit, that we may seek in everything to know your will, and knowing it, may gladly perform it, to the honour and glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Redeemed, when my burden, sin was high
Redeemed when my soul condemned to die .
Redeemed for the price I could not pay.
Redeemed Halleluiah redeemed!
The Dismissal:
Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or conceive, by the power which is at work among us, to Him be the glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus throughout all ages. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21
The Lord be with you
And also with you.
Let us bless the Lord.
Thanks be to God.
