Plane crash in Cat Cay, Bahamas- No one dead, but seriously injured!

A plane en route to Grand Bahama from Cat Cay in The Bahamas crashed in waters off of Cat Cay, all passengers survived.

Delvin Major, chief investigator of air accidents, speaking to Caribbean Magazine Plus about the crash told us: “Preliminary information received has confirmed that a single engine Piper PA28 aircraft with United States registration N75392 had an engine malfunction that resulted in the ditching of the aircraft in waters off of North Cat Cay.”

Citizens footage was obtained by Caribbean Magazine Plus of the downed plane:

Mr Major continued, “At 1:55 pm this afternoon, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Authority received information regarding a downed aircraft near Cat Cay”

Caribbean Magazine Plus has obtained citizen’s footage of the downed Piper as it is floating in the waters off of Cat Cay.

Mr Major added, “The aircraft departed Cat Cay with 3 persons on board with destination Grand Bahama Intl Airport.”

“The 3 persons have been transported to Grand Bahama for medical evaluation, the extent of any injuries is unknown at this time.”

Investigations are ongoing into this crash.
