EDITORIAL: We are now in May.

April 30, 2024

Tomorrow is the first day in May. We will be officially in Summer soon enough. That means we will be in the middle of the hottest year projected on record. How will we be able to deal will be up to us. We will surely need air-conditioning and this will make the climate situation much worse because it will add more CO2 into the atmosphere, so it is damned if we do and damned if we don’t.

It just goes to show you that the climate issue is not an easy one. Because how can you ask a senior citizen to sit in pure heat, risking their health even further, to “save the planet.” No one should be in a position to fix their mouths to ask anyone to sit in this summer’s scorching heat. Burn that air-conditioning.

What will the animals do? This surely isn’t their fault either. Watering holes are drying up as humans consume more and more of the resources, leaving God’s creatures without. What shall we do? How can we ask a thirsty man or woman to not drink as much water as they need? We can, however, ask that people use water otherwise, sparingly, especially in the case of non-sanitary uses. You know? Anything other than for drinking or cleaning. Leave the water balloons, water canons and power washing your driveway. Be sensible in this season.

We have to stay cool, hydrated and smart. Enjoy May and let the summer time roll in.

  1. Mr. Kemp, please receive my greetings in May, a hot month, good for spending the summer, but as much as possible save water, not wasting it, because it is the vital liquid for life. Greetings.
