If there is anything the Caribbean must be extremely vigilant on it is our marine resources.
Not just the fishes need protection and not just the waters need to be clean, but the entire eco-system needs to be protected and kept in pristine condition.
Nothing is more fundamental to the marine eco-system than our coral reefs. The fish feed there and it maintains the entire food resource chain for us humans.
The damage to the coral reefs should be concerning to all of us living in the region. We must do everything we can to reduce our input into the destruction, whether we can stop the pollution or we can stop the coastal incursions.
We just have to step up our game and keep the coral reefs for future generations. We owe it to them.
