Venezuelan’s are the Haitians of Latin America. How is it that no one wants them in their country after all they have gone through with their former president Maduro and his regime?
I find it very troubling that Colombia, their closest neighbour and one who has undergone their own share of political instability, cannot fathom what Venezuelan’s who are in their country are going through in this hour?
But, on the other side, I can understand how Colombians feel because in most of the Caribbean countries they have to deal with the Haitian migration crisis that is equally as ungodly.
No one wants Haitians in their country. That is putting it very mildly.
The situation in both countries is very tragic, and we only can ask for tolerance from stronger neighbours and countries during their darkest hour.
If Venezuela can get their oil sector sorted out they can see good times again. We believe Venezuela, with the right and sober leadership, can put the country back on a path to prosperity where it will be the jewel of Latin America again.
