EDITORIAL: Like the CIA wasn’t already in Venezuela

October 17, 2025

So, the official report is that the Trump administration has set the CIA to go into Venezuela to capture President Nicolas Maduro, like the CIA wasn’t already in Venezuela right now.

If President Trump said it, most likely things are already in motion to have Maduro assassinated or captured. This is not a game now.

I hope the CIA doesn’t further destabilize Venezuela, because they are the last people you would want in your country and against your government. Yes, they talk about Mossad and other agencies, but the premier spy and capture agency is the CIA. Not only can they capture Maduro, but they can change the entire trajectory of a country.

If the budget is big enough, it will not just be a shoot and kill type of arrangement. But regime change like and societal change like activity, which may do more damage to Venezuela in the long term, depending on how severe and depraved the spies and spooks become. But, at least Maduro will be out of the way, this is what American policymakers are thinking about now.

God be with the Venezuelan people because when the CIA grips hold of your government and the elites behind it, your country will never be the same for at least decades down the road.

We pray for peace, but Maduro didn’t want peace. He is playing these childish games and there is too much oil and too much happening with his neighbours for him to continue on in Venezuela in this fashion.
