The Rockefeller Foundation’s report on how stingy the wealthy are in the LAC is shocking, but not surprising. We had a feeling already that they won’t invest their wealth to help anyone significantly. This is no different in any region or continent around the world.
What’s shocking is how little it takes for them to help raise their own countrymen out of poverty, and they refuse to spend it to even make their own environs a better place.
That is shocking. This is the big difference between emerging LAC billionaire’s and millionaire’s and those in North America and Western Europe. At least take care of your immediate surroundings and people around you. And we can tell they are not doing it because we see the disparities too clearly from street corner to street corner.
So we always rue at the lack of development and GDP growth in the region and this is why.
