This year’s Inter-American Development Bank Annual Meetings was extremely fruitful this year. The conversations seemed more authentic and less contrived.
The panel discussions gave more fruit than just the ad nauseum repeats of increase trade between countries and increase access to things like finance and opportunities for education. The conversations, from what we at Caribbean Magazine Plus covered, went deeper into the “why’s” and the “what must be done,” in many of the topics discussed.
This was not a surface level set of discussions. We appreciated the meetings this year. Let’s hope policy makers can commit to action now that they have been refreshed.
