The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) stands in solidarity with the Government and people of Panama in the wake of the destructive earthquake which significantly damaged critical and historical infrastructure, interrupted travel, and left citizens without shelter.
Panama and CARICOM Member States share a deeply intertwined history that spans many generations of citizens who have contributed to Caribbean development.
CARICOM understands the destruction and displacement caused by natural disasters. We wish a full and speedy recovery to those who have been injured, and a swift return to normalcy.
