I think it is safe to say that Communism is a failure. The recent interest in changing the regime in Cuba is a waste of time and resources. Even moreso, going after a 94 year old Raul Castro over an incident that happened over 20 years ago, using it as a rouse for regime change in Cuba, is pointless.
All markers point to the Cuban regime falling apart anytime soon. With Russian bogged down in the Ukraine and China being stunted in their Western Hemispheric economic push, Cuba has no real allies that will prop it up. On top of that the communist model was doomed for failure sooner rather than later. There is no communist/Marxist model that would be impressive enough to any arm-chair economist that would cause them to change their minds.
Let Cuba fall on its own. There is no need for additional intervention. The only reason there would be intervention if is whether the people who are advocating for it has some type of economic incentive to forcing a reset in Cuba that for all intents and purposes is happening right now as we speak.
Without a doubt Cuba will turn into a democracy in our lifetime. Let the Florida Cuban delegation to be patient. They will get a chance to go home and see the motherland and claw back on some of the property that Fidel Castro had appropriated back in the late 1950s. Just be patient.
