Teenager on the rise, Demario Cooper, is seeing major success with his first official song, titled ‘Waiting’ on the Love Revelation Riddim. The compilation album hit the number 1 spot on the iTunes Reggae Albums Chart after its release at the start of 2026 on Friday, January 2nd.
To reach the top of the charts on iTunes is a milestone for the 13-year-old, as he hopes to replicate this same success for his forthcoming solo album titled ‘I Am Him’, dropping on February 14th, coinciding with Reggae Month, Black History Month and of course Valentine’s Day celebrations. Cooper has started the new year off right and plans to dominate the rest of 2026 with great music that inspires young people like him to pursue their dreams.
Produced by George “Slaughta Global” Wright of SG Records and Kemar “Jaus Col” Haughton of Jaus Col Entertainment, Demario Cooper is well on his way to achieving greatness as they help to provide the tools to best support his endeavors in Jamaican reggae music. As a student of St Catherine High School in the often troubled community of Spanish Town, the team keeps him grounded and fully focused, firstly on his education before music matters.
The upcoming artist is driven and motivated to let his voice be heard. Cooper might be young but he has an old soul. Growing up with his father playing oldies inspired Cooper to cover the same hits he heard constantly.
“I do listen to dancehall music and like most of the newer artists but I love the old songs more and will continue to sing those types of songs for now,” said the jovial teen.
