Remember when the United States went into Afghanistan and Iraq in 2001 and 2003, respectively? Nobody knew the day or the hour aside from President George Bush and his top military brass.
The same thing can be said when current President Trump put a naval vessel around Iran and took out three of their supposed nuclear facilities.
So will it be if the US makes a decision to take Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela to task and initiate a hot war. No one will know. All of a sudden there will be bombs raining over Venezuela, which is unlikely. Or, there will be an insurgency supported by American forces and allies.
The signs of military build up in the Latin American region is just saber rattling at the moment. No Latin American leader has grown to the level of disgust and ire to the point where the US would go in and attack them. Not even someone as grotesque as Nicolas Maduro and for all of the things successive US presidential administrations have said about him.
On the other side, Maduro can’t be that stupid to want to try to initiate a problem with the US, by either attacking American citizens or military personnel in Venezuela or around the region.
This will die down soon. We hope.
